Hey! Still not here much, am I? It has been the summer of nonstop stuff, and it’s sliding right on into the fall of nonstop stuff. Things are brighter than they were, or perhaps my brain chemistry is simply sturdier these days. I’ve managed to successfully marry off one of my baby brothers (yes, clearly all my doing), and will be doing the same with the other in another two months. I’m prepping for a new homeschooling adventure, one that includes working with a group of kids on creative writing. Critically Ill Cat is coming up on her one year aniversary of being at death’s door, and while she hasn’t really taken any steps away from it, she hasn’t seemed to move closer either.
Life continues on.
None of which changes the fact that I’ve been a lax blogger. I have three deadlines this week for various things, so it’s not the ideal time for a long post about life, or writing, or insects, or much of anything. Instead, I simply suggest reading this. Do I own red boots? Nope. Would I wear them if I did? Probably not, especially since four inches would bring me up to…really tall. But that’s it, isn’t it? Sometimes you need to slip out of those fifteen-year-old Birkenstocks (yes, yes, that’s me) and into something a little less comfortable, a little more daring, in order to get the job done.
